Typort is made by Human Compute, LLC, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA ("we", "us"). These terms cover the Typort desktop app, the Typort Vault browser extension, typort.com and the Typort services those connect to. By installing or using Typort you agree to them.
What you dictate, record, write or capture with Typort belongs to you. When you use a feature that runs on our servers, you give us permission to process and store that content only as needed to run the feature for you. How that works, and what leaves your computer, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
A screen recording share link is an unlisted URL: anyone who has the link can watch the recording. You decide who gets it, and you are responsible for what you share and for having the right to share it.
Some features need you to sign in with your email address. Keep access to that email secure, because signing in is done through it. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
Local dictation is free forever. Everything that runs on our servers is free for a limited time and will move to Typort Pro later. We may add, change or remove features, and we may limit or stop a service that runs on our servers. A desktop app you have already installed keeps working locally.
Typort is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Speech recognition and AI features can make mistakes, so check anything important before you rely on it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Human Compute, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of Typort. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Typort in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.
You can stop using Typort at any time by uninstalling it, and you can ask us to delete the data we hold for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend access to our services for anyone who breaks these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
If we update these terms we'll change the date above, and for material changes we'll tell you in the app.
